Erkan Oğur is one of Turkeys most highly-respected musicians,
famed for his hauntingly beautiful interpretations of ancient
folk song, an acclaimed writer of film music (Eskiya and Yazi
Tura), and collaborator with many musicians, including Djivan
Gasparyan on the album Fuad. He is joined by İsmail Demircioğlu,
an equally great musician from the Black Sea region, to perfom
traditional songs from Anatolia accompanied on kopuz (small
lute) and saz.

METIN & KEMAL KAHRAMAN
Brothers Metin & Kemal Kahraman and their six-piece group are
legendary singer-songwriters of extraordinarily moving gentle
protest music, sung in Zazaish and Kurdish-Turkish .
Zazaish is a Language, spoken around Dersim and in
southeastern Turkey. They have collected and preserved
endangered local musical traditions; their music uses these
traditions as well as contemporary idiom, while their songs tell
stories of lifes struggles and colour.
